Blossom Dark Roast is a dark roast from Joe Bean, sourced from Nicaragua, Brazil. It features the Typica La Pluma, Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Pache variety, processed using the washed method. Washed processing removes the cherry pulp before drying, which tends to highlight the bean's varietal character and produce a cleaner cup with brighter acidity. Dark roasts develop more body and roast-driven sweetness through deeper caramelisation. The origin character fades into chocolate, caramel and roast notes. The roaster lists tasting notes of Smoky, Woody, Dark Chocolate, Turbinado Sugar and Baking Cocoa.
