- You want the same journal on iOS and in a browser
- You want a privacy-respecting tracker that doesn't need an account
Pick Doppio - Barista's Book if

Switching from Doppio - Barista's Book
- Can I bring my Doppio data across?
- Partly, and honestly it takes some manual work. PUCK YEAH! imports CSV and JSON, but it expects its own column layout, so a Doppio export will not import as-is. You will need to rename the columns to match the PUCK YEAH! template, which you can get by exporting from PUCK YEAH! first. There is no one-click Doppio importer. Many people just start logging fresh and keep their old export as an archive.
- Is one of them cheaper?
- No. Both apps are free. Doppio has no in-app purchases and PUCK YEAH! has no subscription or paywalled features, just an optional tip jar. Price is not the reason to pick between these two.
- Why would I switch if Doppio is free and looks good?
- Mainly if you want the app to help you dial in rather than only record shots. Jarvis reads your history and suggests what to change next, which Doppio does not do. If you brew several methods and just want a beautiful log, Doppio is a genuinely good app and there is no strong reason to move.
- Does Doppio cover more brew methods?
- Yes. Doppio logs espresso, pour-over and other methods, while PUCK YEAH! is built specifically around espresso and milk drinks. If pour-over is a big part of your routine, that is a point for Doppio.
- Can I use PUCK YEAH! on my Mac or iPad?
- Yes. There is a native iPad app and a web app that runs in any desktop browser, Mac included. Doppio runs natively on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Vision Pro, so both cover the Apple ecosystem well. PUCK YEAH! additionally works on Windows, Linux and Android through the web app.
